Watch this video for a few things to help you with gold discovery…
I mentioned a short list of four things you can do to improve the speed and efficiency of your gold finding ability. I left off with the fourth item where things just start to get interesting. This short video picks up the discussion about the importance of that 4’th item to your results. Watch it and see why.
Enjoy! Prospector Jess – Note: If you have problems with video viewing see this post.
Oh, some folks asked for a link to the previous video: Here it is
What is your view of Arseno Pyrite and Gold. My brother has a claim in Dartmouth NS that is full of Arseno pyrite and a bit of gold once in a while except the gold is very tiny. I took a couple rocks about a half pound and broke them enough to fit into my hand crusher. I pulverized them and screened the finer stuff down to about screen door size. Then I panned a less than half 10″ pan and there seemed to be quite a lot of color so I thought is this pyrite or gold as it was small but easily viewable.. Also there were some very fine heavies but no color so I snuffed it all, possibly a tablespoon or a bit more. Then I had what was left of the stuff that wasn’t crushed. Instead of trying to crush it anymore I panned it and there was some more fine color that looked like what I already had. Could this be free gold mixed in pyrite. The rocks I crushed and panned were mostly quartz and some shale or slate. Also the quartz was peppered with indentations and holes. Have you ever found a place like this and how do you recommend us to get out the gold..
Great information. What assay laboratories do you recommend for assays? Is there a certification for assay labs?
Sir, I need a prospecting material like green pans, pinpointer,i tried it online but its a very costly,
Can I have a second hand tools, colourful land scape book sir I will pay but not much..
Waiting your reply eagerly.
regard.
Excellent job.
I enjoy every bit of your lecture, its an eye opener, pls keep it up.God bless you.
Near the diamond mine at Murphfreesboro Ark., are quart’s mines, and they say there is no gold there, but a lot of the Quartz has dark stained areas in them, could that be an indicator of gold somewhere close?

Have you ever found gold in Alaska? If so where thanks
Jess,
I very much enjoy your tips and instructions. I wish you could come to our club.
Do you ever speak at clubs in Southern California?
Whats your opinion on a dog trained to find gold? (like a Beagle?) Is it possible?
Thanks Jess,
I have been thinking about geting a Falcon MD20, will that wook to find platinum. Thanks again, Vernon J. Singer
Is it possible, to put punch plate or expanded metal, on your sluice box, the whole length. To classify ? Or will the punch plate disrupt the water flow too much?
Jon,
Punch plate has a value as a sturdy grizzly or coarse classifier. Typically it’s used in the header box and not for the full run of the sluice. Although some double deck sluices use a short length to separate the flows so big cobbles can flow through and finer gold and sand can drop out of the main flow to give a reduced volume of water and allow finer gold to settle out. Otherwise big cobbles disturb fine gold too much.
Hint, before any of this classification is used the clay balls must be broken & thoroughly washed into suspension or they too will drag gold out the back end of your sluice.
Enjoy your teachings on finding gold. I am responsible to two clubs with instruction. I do copy your instructions. The one I like best ir reading the river. I do tell all who ask they should find you on the computer.
Great work
Bert
Thanks Bert! Glad you like the instructions and tell them they are welcome to join in on the site 😀
Jess
without introducyion of geology donot go there ,but i have all images that mr learned mr jess ,if i senf you the images you will be surprised.,specially topogarahic.take a pick
Love your vids…but I’m back the the stone age…DSL…Most of my loved sites need to help those who can’t spend 50$ for the net..
Yeah I know what you mean about being on a slow network.
Try doing it with intermittent 3g cell service 😉
Hang in there!
Hey Jess. Love the videos. Thank you fro sharing you knowledge.
By the way. I’d love to help with video and audio work. I’ve got a fair amount of experience. But I’m happy to help any way I can. Pro Bono. (donations would be accepted, but not necessary).
Your sharing, so, I’d love to share as well.
