When a storm rages on, the slurry of muck, rocks and boulders being forced downstream by water power also carries gold. As that swift water moves, it has a few very useful traits that the experienced gold prospector will take advantage of. First is just to notice how powerful moving water, rocks, sand and gravel really are, second is that the moving water will flow in characteristic corkscrew flow patterns that will actually create a golden ribbon called a pay-streak or pay-lead. This is your primary target when you hunt for gold… Watch this pattern!
